Can anyone tell me what the difference is, between buying a Bradington young sectional vs. a Seven Seas since they are made by the same company?

Seven Seas is made in China and the consensus seems to be that the quality of that line is below that of the main BY line.
Its a different product entirely. Seven Seas is 100 % made in China and Bradington Young is built in the USA. There are considerable build differences in every aspect of the piece, they are not related other than by name. Spring suspension, frame build, cushions - even the leathers themselves. Seven Seas serves a price point to a customer looking for inexpensive leather furniture. I did one order of it several years ago (yielded to pressure from my Sales Rep) and that was that. I was not happy with the build and quickly marked it down to move out.
