I am looking for an executive chair with feet ring at (or right above) the swivel base. I want the foot ring because I prefer to rest my feet on the ring than on the floor, similar to sitting on a counter stool or a bar stool.
Does such executive chair exist at all? I have checked the H&M website. No luck. Is it possible to have H&M customize it by adding a feet ring to the swivel base? Thank you!
That's an unusual request! I've never seen any office swivel chair like that. I think part of the reason for that is it unbalances things as you are forward-weighting a center pedestal layout and there would a tendency to fall forward or else the chair would want to shoot out backwards (Newtons Law and all that). Your feet on the floor actually stabilize things. I think you will find most makers will decline to build that for liability reasons.
Drafting table chairs nearly always have a foot ring. Perhaps what you need is one of those and a taller desk.
My husband also thought adding a foot ring could unbalance the chair, but I didn't believe him. :D
The desk I am going to sit at will be either 30.5'' or 32'' tall. A drafting table chair might be too high for the desk. I think 20'' or so will be ideal.
