Trying to buy dining room set off Craigslist

Hello! We just moved to a bigger home and are looking to purchase a dining room set. We know NOTHING about furniture so are afraid to make a big purchase like this, but can't afford new retail for it. Can you tell me if these prices seem remotely fair, and if not, what they should be charging? Also, I'd love to know your thoughts on what to look for when we're there and things to be careful about.
