Recliner Chair - Hydraulic Cylinder Broken - Swissmade
We need help with a recliner chair... Cannot tell if it's a Bradington-Young because it doesn't say on it (after searching a bit there were some forum posts about a similar hydraulic spring for Bradington chairs) but the part number is listed as follows on the hydraulic spring:
VERIN CH-9442 BERNECK TYP ART. N. 018 60019...
I talked to Suspa and they said they haven't seen this part made in 20 years.. and the replacement part for it has also been discontinued? Any ideas? It seems like it would be difficult to redo the spring action in another way without using the part. Thank you!

I'm a little confused as I don't know if you have a mechanism that is mechanical (Springs and Balances) or activated with a gas strut. If you can post a series of detailed and well-focused and well-lit pictures (no cell phone photos, please) along with the measurements and bore size of the attachment points, we can brainstorm it and see what we can come up with.

Thank you for your response. I've attached a few images. I need the black hyrdaulic gas cylinder that controls the how the chair reclines and restores itself into the upright position. Let me know if you have further questions. Unfortunately we cannot determine the brand of the chair and the inscription that I described above is found on the actual gas spring itself.

You can try Leggett and Platt, they make a number of them.
