Alternatives to alberta harness?
I am interested in purchasing the west end sofa. I am looking for a protected leather in a wine color (no browns). I like the color of the alberta harness but agree with Duane's opinion. It is a bit too shiny for my taste. Any recommendations on alternatives? I do like the modeling in this leather. Again looking for something durable.
Re: Alternatives to alberta harness?
Alberta is a promotional leather only, its not available as loose hides, so its a married cover that is pre-cut and pre-sewn for specific frames. I have never floored it in my store and I didn't think it was a very attractive leather, but of course its sole purpose is to fit a price point. I'd probably suggest you look at Cavalier Oxblood, which is a GR2 Semi-Aniline and is also used in a number of the married cover frames as well. I've always liked Cavalier, it looks rich, has nice color tone, is sofa and has some topcoat on it, and best of all of the hundreds of pieces I've sold in that series, not one negative comment from customers.
