Skipping the Fall 2013 Market

I've decided not to go to the High Point Market this weekend, I know several of you were looking forward to photos of new items from various makes, and the new leathers from H&M and so on. I only have Sundays off and I really need to get my yard over-seeded, fertilized and core aerated this Sunday before I lose the weather window and its too cold for seed to germinate.

Also, its 11 hours round-trip to Market and that makes for a VERY long day (leave at 3 a.m and get home at midnight) and my store is so full right now I have stock backed up in my off-site storage facility, I don't need to order a thing for inventory so I would not be buying any Market specials. Sales are soft this fall as well, so while I'd like to go see 'what's new' myself, its not economically viable in either time or expense to make the trip to see the New Market intros....

I will certainly miss seeing the photos of new styles of both furniture and leathers. But have already made the decision of the 2 chairs to order after I receive the Chancellor. The Somerset tufted fits our needs perfectly. The exposed wood arms are just right for old creaky backs and knees to assist from a sitting position to standing. This chair is a perfect compromise from a lift chair, as the man of the house insists he does not need.
