Style Advice? H&M Ricki vs Anderson
My 25 yr old son is going to be buying his very first piece of quality furniture. He's looking at H&M, found 2 pieces on sale. One is the Ricki in Jute, the 2nd is the Anderson in Document Saddle. He lives in an apartment but could be buying a place in a year's time. His current furniture is from college, was cheap and has splits in the "imitation leather" so waiting, would be difficult as he is embarrassed to have friends over.
He is 6'6" so he likes a little deeper sofa (22" ish ). These sofas have a the same or smaller footprint than his existing piece. He may be concerned about moving them in as his door opening is 35.75" x 79.875". I don't have the width of the hallway outside his door except my recollection is it is wide enough for 2 people to walk comfortably (not a good measurement, I realize).
My question to the forum is what do you think about the styles? I think the Anderson is a bit "old style traditional" and the Ricki is a little more, comtemporary/transtional. But we both would like to hear some opinions, please.
Also if anyone has them or has sat in them and has comfort opinions please share!
oh no, the more I look at them, I think I'm not liking the Ricki at all. Sigh, HELP!

No worries on the door egress, those will clear fine if that egress is straight through. At 6' 6" both these will be a little on the small side for him but will work. Ideally he'd like a sofa like the Settlement, but that's probably too large for his place and would dominate the room.

Thanks Duane!
His egress is straight thru. His existing sofa is 92.5 long any thing else you would recommend?
