What do you think of this Henredon leather sofa?

Hi all,

I saw this Henredon leather sofa on craigslist. Do the back cushions look a little too wrinkled? It's $500 and supposed to be a couple years old. The add says it was $6,500 new.

I'm mildly considering it, not sure. I don't know how I'd transport it though. It wouldn't fit in my SUV. Can you tell me how people normally transport large furniture finds on craigslist--do they borrow a normal size pickup?

Henredon is a respectable brand. $500 seems good to me. You can rent/borrow a pickup or standard van.

I'm with Steve. Any high end brand sofa you can buy for $ 500 that isn't broken or ripped is a pretty nice deal. While I don't think that sofa probably sold for $ 6,500 new (that's likely list price) it's certainly worth the price being asked. You can put new cushion inserts in the back, or simply have the existing ones taken out and 'wrapped' by an upholstery store to make them look full again.

Thank you! I'm still mulling it over, but think it may be too irregular in coloration and moving it will be a hassle for me, so I suppose someone else will get it.
