Any Recommendations for a Leather Friendly Dog Proof Couch Cover?

Small dog loves the new leather couch. As he was accustomed to the old fabric couch keeping him off is not feasible. Cannot seem to find a couch cover that is leather safe that will protect from scratching. We do keep his nails trimmed. So far a simple cotton throw is working but not big enough. Any experiences would be a big help. Thanks,

I'd not worry about keeping it covered. I have not found dogs do major damage to leather upholstery as long as they are not chewing or " digging " with vigor.

I have since found some other dog owners that have larger dogs that have not done damage. Looks like this is the way it is going to be.
