  3. Re: red wine stain on leather sofa - peroxide removing sofa dye?

Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda mixed together are known to bleach fabric. Hair also. I don't think you can fix it if it was bleached except by re dying the leather. ...

  6. Re: What do you prefer to see when walking into a furniture showroom?

The most frequent complaint i have seen on this forum is peoples inability to find the pieces to look at and sit in. Some are willing to go a good distance to do so.
  7. Re: What do you prefer to see when walking into a furniture showroom?

I agree, I would rather see more pieces. Is it completly a one or the other choice though? I think it might be fun to have one small "room" setup and change pieces out to show different combinations...
  8. Re: Day Light Savings Cleaning and Conditioning Weston Cane Burnished Author's chair

It has been a long time since I read that thread, I didn't remember anything about vinegar. I guess it isn't a bad idea to re-review it occassionally. But it has gotten soooo long, lol
  9. Re: Day Light Savings Cleaning and Conditioning Weston Cane Burnished Author's chair

That is a beautiful chair for sure. I have not seen any recommendations about using vinegar on leather before. Did Duane recommend that?
  10. Re: Fjord's Milan Power Swivel Recliner in Vintage Cognac

I love the fact that there is no space in the foot rest. If you want full support under your legs, this would be great.
  11. Re: No improvement in delivery times for ordered furniture

You are always going to have people who simply cannot afford high quality furniture that will last a decade or more. It isn't for everyone because it is simply out of reach for some. But I think the...
  12. Thread: Reality Check

    by SueCT

    Re: Reality Check

I could be wrong, but I suspect the client that would buy that purse is not the same client that would refuse to pay the price for a Hancock and Moore Sofa, and would head off to Costco. I remember a...
  13. Re: inbound Hancock & Moore # NC342-1 Swindon Wing Chair in Carver Acorn

What a beautiful, graceful, modern update on the wing chair. That is gorgeous. I really love it in the leather shown on the photo from the H&M website, too.

Re: Need help identifying curio cabinet

You will have to wait and see what Duane thinks, but the wood and finish look exactly like a 1940s bedroom set in our family. That wuld be my guess for a time frame anyway.

Re: Wood repair on fine furniture

Wow, you did a great job! What did you use to mix the color? It doesn't look like it comes with different dyes or anything to mix inio it.

Re: Help Identifying Ornate Cabinet and Dresser

You might want to take pictures of the drawer joinery and back of the pieces. The way a piece is constructed can tell a lot about its age, etc.
