Default Question about using the evil Pledge!

Hey Duane, I know you say NOT to use Pledge because of the silicone it contains and you can never refinish a peice with it, well not without a lot of mess and extra work and probably not at all.
However, I have three end tables Cherry vaneer, that I used Pledge on back before I knew any better, and they have held up remarkable well They have some deep cat scratches but nothing stands up to those.
Anyway I was wondering I have an inexpensive cherry vaneer dining table I got for the rented condo I am now in and I would NEVER think of trying to refinish that. I was thinking about going ahead and using the Pledge on it since I have liked the results with the other tables. What do you think? is there any other serious reason not to use it in this case?

Go for it, by all means. Pledge does a great job in shine and is so easy to use. And since you're on veneers it won't matter much anyways. You just want to avoid silicone polishes on better solid wood pieces and antiques.

I used Pledge once on veneered (mahogany) bedroom furniture and have not liked the results - it left a dull, ugly film. I either dry-dust or use Murphy Oil diluted with water.
