Default Hancock and Moore Austin reclining couch

Hello I have an Austin reclining couch with a sloppy mechanism.
Is there any way to tighten it up or will I have to replace it? Couch was purchased new from a dealer the that is no longer in business approximately 12 years ago.
Where would I be able to purchase the mechanism if it's got to be replaced?

The mechs are not repairable, however you can replace them as they still make that series. Expect to pay around $ 300 for a mechanism, plus shipping. Any dealer can order it for you, be sure to have the serial number of the unit which is on the seat deck label.
