    Question Furniture recommendation

    Hello All,
first post here. We are moving to an apartment in NJ and need to buy new furniture.
With a budget of around 4K we want to get 2 loveseat (or a sofa + loveseat). The basic requirements are
    - Leather
    - Recline
    - The back must be high enough for head support.
    - Hopefully something that lasts us 10 years or more

Would really appreciate some brand or specific model recommendations.

    Thanks!

Probably go with Flexsteel based on those requirements. Something like the Chicago series, and it will go + 10 years.

One thing to consider, which many people forget about when moving to a new apartment --- are the doors, halls, stairways and elevator all large enough to fit your furniture through? If any of these is a problem for you, let me know because that is what my company specializes in - Ready To Assemble upholstered furniture guaranteed to fit through narrow spaces.

The apartment is on the ground floor and the entrance to the living room is not tight so we think most regular sized furniture should not be an issue.

After trying out the local stores this is the la-z-boy model that we liked the best for comfort (bucket type seating) and style.

But having read tons of bad reviews about la-z-boy (quality and customer service) we are scared buy from them.

Seems like most high end furniture manufacturers don't really make furniture in this style.

But any recommendation similar to these would be great.

There are pieces like that in better quality, but its going to blow way past your budget I'm afraid. That's why I mentioned Flexsteel. A much better product than La-Z-Boy and still relatively in your budget.

    Thumbs up Re: Furniture recommendation

    Thanks for the replies!

We will be checking out some Flexsteel furniture at a local dealer. Also thinking of taking a look at Palliser as some friends who have these have been satisfied with them.

Just wanted to update this thread.
After trying out some more furniture locally including Flexsteel and Palliser we decided to go with these Palliser home theater seats in another leather color. Configured as a sofa and loveseat. From what we could make out Flexsteel and these had comparable build quality but we preferred the looks of these chairs.

Expected delivery is around end of march.

Now we are looking for a contemporary or transitional counter height dining table with 6 chairs. Any recommendations regarding which brands to check? Hoping to stay under $2K (preferably under $1.5K ). May be I should start a new thread for this.

    Thanks again!

Looks good! Let us know how you like them when they arrive, there are always folks asking about Palliser.

I'm no help on the counter height dining table w/chairs, sorry...

Palliser seems to have a small distribution network and it was hard to try Palliser stuff locally.

Will update this thread when we receive the chairs. Two months of wait seems like an eternity!
