Smile Opinions on a Recliner within a Sectional Sofa please

Hello, I am new to this forum and am interested in buying a sectional with a chaise in one end of it and a recliner in the other end of it.

I have heard from a couple of different sources that recliners within a sectional aren't as comfortable as if you were to buy a recliner chair on its own.

I would love to hear any comments regarding this as I am not sure whether I should purchase a sectional with a recliner in it or without at this point.

    Thanks!

Its true it will not be quite as comfortable to most folks, since on the stationary part of a quality unit you will be sitting on an 8-way hand-tied spring base. On the recliner end of things you will be atop the spring grid (not that its bad, but its not an 8-way). The other negative, is that the recliner end tends to get used a lot, and will show wear in a few years that wont be evened out among the rest of the piece. Neither of these are deal-breakers however, so if you want a recliner on the end section, then get it and enjoy!
