Default Spring 2010 Market Report Hancock & Moore

Pressed for time right now but here are the highlights.

The current Town & Country Program will be updated and replaced on July 1st. Expect changes in some frames, some leathers and price increases on most everything.

I have 605 photos of the showroom at H&M. Can't put them all up, but I shall put up selected ones as time permits. Burnished leathers are HOT, almost all the new pieces were shown in Burnished hides.

New leathers are great! I have them at my store.

All new Catalog (print) should be ready in December.

Sounds like anyone sitting on the fence should order before July 1st.

Duane how large are the price increases going to be on average? 5%? 10%? More? Just a estimate would be fine.

I can't really say. I saw the new Town and Country program this week, but the rep wasn't prepared to let me photocopy it, but I noticed several increases and some leather changes as well as frame changes.

    Duane,

Do you know whether the Gallagher would be available in T&C starting July? If not, I would rather order another T&C model when the prices are low.

Thank you for all your informative posts.

    Regards,

The Gallagher is not going to be on Town and Country, sorry.

I realize the prices would probably increase, but do you think the quality of leather and frame are compromised on the new Town and Country series?

Oh no, absolutely not. Leather covers are fashion, and come and go with the trends (as do frames for that matter). If you looked at H&M's product line from 15 years ago, there would be only a handful of frames that are still in the line from the mid-90's era and virtually all the leathers have changed since then. As long as Jack Glasheen, Jimmy Moore and Tim Rogers own that company, there will never be a cheapening of the product line. I know them, and they will only buy the best and not cut corners to save a dollar (well, maybe not Tim - lol - he's all about saving money). JUST KIDDING TIM, if you're reading this!

You're going to see some cool stuff in the new Town and Country line, but expect it to be a bit more costly. Not a lot, but prices of raw materials are putting a lot of pressure not only on H&M but all upholstery makers.

So you think July 1 is the deadline for the new increases?
Will you let us know as soon as you find out? And how much it will increase?
    Thanks,

July 1 is not the deadline, that's when the new program goes into effect. Deadline would be 5 p.m. on 06/30 Eastern Time.

I don't have advance info on prices, and have been asked by H&M not to publicly post them. You'll have to PM me for individual prices, per item.
