Weston Butternut Leather

We're planning to buy September or Evening chairs with sofa in Weston Butternut. Would you recommend the Weston leather for daily use in the family with two children?
Or, would you recommend any other hide in a similar color and quality? Thank you.

Weston is a wonderful German hide that I think is a great value, since its a full aniline and GR2 pricing. It's a light 'pull-up' leather that has a waxy topcoat to it. I find that the colors in this series vary from the swatches, especially in the red tones.

Its going to pickup some oil and acid stains, but in general its fairly durable. Depends on your lifestyle and what you allow on the sofa. If kids are allowed to bring food to the sofa on a regular basis, then there are better hides out there for that kind of usage.

Are there any other hides in similar feel, color, and quality, but perhaps a bit more durable, that you would recommend for daily usage (more food resistant)?

Take a look at Aspen, its a GR2 and is good hide that is very durable. If you can swing a GR3 leather, then the Antelope series is just about the perfect leather for its combination of durability, luxury, performance and hand.

I have Weston Sunrise on a pair of chairs and an ottoman and it is my favorite leather to touch of the 5 H-M leathers in my house. I always find myself touching it as I walk past just because the leather feels so nice
