    I can tell you that the Paula Deen Furniture from our store, we have had no service issues with this line.

    All our customers are quite happy with their purchases.

    I am more familiar with Universal wood furniture than their upholstery. In the 1970s Universal was possibly the very first of the major imported furniture lines to hit this country. They started with dining room furniture and added bedroom several years later. Their products were always strictly middle end back then -- comparable to Bassett and Broyhill. The very nice diagram showing the 8 way hand-tied construction does not seem to match up with the written descriptions posted here.
