My wife's file drawer's slide broke. It was a ball bearing slide that was made on the cheap. The ball bearings all came out of it. All the slides I have found on line and in stores require at least 1/2 inch clearance on either side of the drawer. This drawer has only about 1/8th clearance on each side. There are slots cut into the drawer on each side to allow for extra clearance, but still is shy of the required clearance. I now have about 3 or 4 sets of slides that do not fit. There must be a slide out there somewhere.
Incidentally, I have not been able to find any slides like the one that broke.
I can send pictures if that would help. Thanks
Paul
Pictures might help. Do you have 1/2" of space underneath the drawer to install slides?
