Default H&M # 4275 Restoration Sofa in Aspen Bordeaux

    GR 2 leather. Recommended.

This sofa sits better in my opinion than one would think it would. I find it quote comfortable with standard cushion with just the right amount of 'sink', not too firm, not too soft. Support stops at top of the shoulders for the average man.

Aspen is a finished leather that has excellent color tones and is not as 'plastic-looking' as some finished leathers that have high sheen topcoats. Click on photos for hi-res details.

A question for everybody -- Looking at the 4275 Restoration Sofa you can clearly see the seat cushions jutting out a few inches past the front rail.

The question is: Do you think the sofa would look better the way it is with the overhang or if the cushions lined up straight with the front rail with no overhang?

They actually sit flush, I had not set them properly before I took the photo! - the sofa had just been unboxed.

Thanks Duane. I have seen many sofas where the seat cushions do overhang. Every time I bring out a new design there is a debate among the various members of my team over which look is preferable.

So the question still remains. "Do sofas look better with overhanging seat cushions or flush seat cushions?"

Personally I'd always want the seat edge supported by the edge spring (flush) so that the cushion doesn't suffer from premature internal core breakdown. Its more a functional / structural decision than a design one.
