Hello. I was wondering if anyone is available to assist me today. I just bought a piece where the underside has a burned in wood initial along with a brass tag NK. (Nordiska). Initial looks like a very fancy M.
Excuse my ignorance if I have done this wrong. I have attempted to show pics.

This is just a guess ... could this piece be from the Carl Malmsten factory that sold to the Nordiska department stores? See http://malmsten.se/about-carl/ and also google Nordiska as well as other early Swedish furniture designers, although it seems Malmsten signed his pieces "CM" which is what the initials on your piece look like to me. than you for your assistance. It does seem to be from that era. At least I can start my research. The back has a cutout and I need to find out if that was intentional or was removed later on. have a good day everyone.
