I'm looking for a leather high leg recliner. The local furniture dealer has a Brandington-Young Model 3728 for $999 or a Flexsteel Latitude model for $899. What can you tell me about the two types. Do these prices seem reasonable? How much mark-up is on furniture?
Thank you.
I don't know about the BY model, but I do know that Flexsteel's "Latitude" line is made in China, so I'd steer clear of that one.
That's a killer price on the BY 3728, just over dealer cost + freight. Grab it. That's a MUCH better made piece of furniture than the Flexteel Latitudes by a considerable margin, as long as you like the way the 3728 sits.

drcollie,
What is your opinion of flexsteel?
Well, I was a Flexsteel dealer for about 3 years, until I couldn't stand selling their quality any longer. Granted, I'm observant and have a fairly high standard, but I don't do mediocrity very well.
