Default Question about Ultra Down Seat Cushion Core

    Hi Duane,

I know you are busy, but I have looked all over your site and couldn't find an answer to this question.

The Addison recliner I have has the standard core in it right now (RU1021 ST). If I replace it with the Ultra down core will it be thicker than the standard Qualux core and will it fit in the leather zip cover?

    Thanks,

    Dawn

    Hi Dawn,

Yes, the Ultra Down will fit in the sleeve, they simply cut down the interior Qualux foam to accomodate the down and feather top. It will not be thicker. I don't recommend them for recliners, however as firmer is better to prevent the dreaded 'footrest trap'

    Hi Duane,

Thanks for getting back to me so quick.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is the 'footrest trap', and how does the ultra down contribute to it?
