I found a century furnitute dimensions chair and ottoman and sofa on Craigslist. Seller said it was 5 years old. She seemed nice and honest and her house was very well decorated. It sat quite well. Very firm for a used chair. SOfa also sat well, no sagging in middle. I can't find any information on dimensions on Century website. Is this a discontinued model? Underneath the ottoman it says made in NC. Below is link. Thoughts??

Century destinations not dimensions. I am curious why I can't find any info online about this collection considering the seller says the set is only 5 years old.
In 2002, Destinations was Century's value priced upholstery line. http://www.centuryfurniture.com/cata.../consulate.pdf
In 2005, Destinations was still a Century brand. http://www.furnituretoday.com/articl...upholstery.php
A July 2007 article in Home Furnishings Business states: "Earlier this decade, the company [Century] developed a new starting price point with Destinations, a container program combining original design and hardware with Chinese sourcing with the aims of appeal to upper-middle price points, and offering consumers entry to the Century line with the hope they’d trade up over time. The company found, however, that the move not only didn’t expand its customer base, but it also diluted Century’s premium-level presence on retail floors.
A few years later, Century reversed course, eliminating Destinations, and adding the ultra-premium Heirlooms by Century featuring luxurious materials and finishes on both in-line pieces and items developed for the program, as well as developing a very high-end outdoor business." http://www.hfbusiness.com/article/ho...-focus-67916/1
Thanks for the reply. The tags say made in Hickory NC. I am guessing then that maybe the springs or portions of materials were made in China and assembled in USA? Still feel pretty good about the purchase. Both pieces sit very well, were not used much by an older couple and it didn't cost me much. I am still curious about how they were manufactured, what was done in China versus USA.
