Default Jessica Charles Tufted Brookwood Chair

    Hi,

I'm new to Myfurniture forum so I hope I posted in the correct place. I'm interested in the details of the Jessica Charles tufted Brookwood chair. Has anybody seen this chair in person, sat in it or has an opinion about it?

There aren't any dealers close to me who carries this line by us so I can't physically see or sit in this chair. I really like the looks of this chair and it looks comfortable to me. My husband says that it doesn't look like a chair that one would gravitate to sit in. He thinks it is a "visitor", "don't stay long" chair. Does anyone have any information about this chair.

    thanks,
    MsBluebird

There are VERY few Jessica Charles chairs that are uncomfortable in my experience. They make a very good product that sits well for most folks. I've sat in one, and I would own it for my own home without hesitation. That doesn't mean you would be comfortable in it, but it worked for me.

Thank you so much for your opinion. We don't have a local Jessica Dealer so I'll contact The Keeping Room for a price with shipping for a ball park cost and about the process of picking fabrics from a long distance.

    Duane,

I received the fabric samples from Jessica Charles and Taylor King. I am amazed at how quickly they arrived. My 3 favorites are Sayer Popcorn (TK), Bly Stone (JC), and Rocky Creek seaglass (TK).

The toughest thing for me to find info about is upholstery quality.
    Questions:

    1. Can you tell me the content and grade of the "Rocky Creek Seaglass" fabric from Taylor King? I have the content for the others.
    2. The Rocky Creek is a looser weave. Should this concern me as far as wearability?
    3. In your opinion, which of the three fabrics will tuft nicer?
    4. Oops, I need the grade for the Sayer Popcorn.

    Thanks

    Thanks,
    Mary

    Hi Mary,

"Rocky Creek Seaglass" is a GR 18 fabric in Taylor King. I don't have content makeup of the fabric and would have to call on it as well as rub values for durability.
"Sayer Popcorn" is a GR 20 Fabric from Taylor King.

There's no way I can efficiently get my hands on the samples to render an opinion. While I have them all upstairs, they are in no particular order and there are over 2,000 of them on the hangers in the Taylor King section. It would take me several hours to find them and I just don't have the time to do that, sorry.

Tighter weaves are always preferable to a looser weave.

    Thanks!
