Help with new H&M sofa and furniture layout

We are going to purchase a rug, and you are absolutely right that I should choose it before picking a sofa color. Thank you for helping me think this through. (If I could afford one of your 8 x 10 Turkey rugs, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. They are stunning.)

Yes, your room layout and color is always determined by the rug when one is being put into a room. So, when starting from scratch you do that first, and build off the rug. Good luck in the search for a rug!
