Default Bradington Young 7012 Swivel Rocker Recliner

I have a BY 7012SG swivel rocker recliner about three months old and love the chair. The problem I have is using the footrest, it pops out so hard you think you will turn over and putting it down almost takes two people it is so hard. Does anyone have any suggestions on adjusting the footrest mechanism? Thanks for you help.

On most of these there are no adjustments. However, flip if over on its back and look to see if there are two wing nuts at the end of the tension springs. If there are, then you can adjust the opening and closing tension with those. Otherwise, contact your selling dealer about a mechanism replacement under warranty. You have a full one year parts and labor warranty on that chair. Good luck.
