Palliser leather furniture

We are in the market for new living room furniture and would like to buy leather. We saw some Palliser pieces in a show room and we really liked the look and comfort. But, I googled Palliser and found a whole page of complaints. (Although I believe in several of those cases, it is the furniture store that deserved the complaint as opposed to the manufacturer.) I found some very good revews also, but those complaints have scared me. When ordering the Palliser furniture, you choose the leather. I'm thinking there is a wide range of quality within the Palliser brand. Is this the case? Can I get good quality Palliser by choosing the right leather when we order, or do I need to pay attention to those bad reveiws I found? We are replacing furniture that is 20 years old and want the next set to last as well.

Palliser is considered mid-grade and you should get a decent duty cycle out of it. It's not on the level of the higher-end product, but doesn't carry the price points of them, either. Picking a leather is not nearly as critical as keeping the leather clean and conditioned once you have it. That's the key to longevity of the hide.
