Default Furniture Brokers (not a store) - Any experiences?

There's a guy advertising that's local to me claiming to be a Furniture Broker which I've never heard of before and offering factory direct prices. Is this legit? Any experiences with these type of people?

Typically a broker, in general, is a middleman who works on a commission or cost-plus basis. The implication is that you save money by dealing with someone who doesn't have the overhead of a store, employees, etc. Expect all payments to be by check, and any complaints to be handled at the discretion of the supplier.
