HELP! Can anyone tell me about Michael Nicholas Designs sofa?

I've been trying to research a sofa, loveseat and chair package manufactured by a Michael Nicholas Designs.
Never heard of them. Can't find anything on the company, although in-store it touts that it's been around 60 years.

The sofa specs say: 101 inches wide, 39 deep, 38 high.
Fabric content: 100% polyster.
Construction: "1.8 density foam with complete dacron wrap. Frame is corner blocked, nailed and glued. Frame made from kiln-dried hardwood. 15 or more sinuous narrow loop 8 gauge springs per sofa allowing superior comfort and support."

Cushions are sewn (attached) onto the back. Also includes 4 throw-pillows.

Staff there insist it is not plywood construction or engineered hardwood, but genuine kiln-dried hardwood frame, etc., as it says on the tag above.

Yet the price? $698.
In fact, sofa, loveseat and chair combined are $1,800.

They are pretty, seem heavy and solid, and look and feel nicer -- for half the price -- than the Broyhills and FlexSteel and Klaussner sofas I checked out on the same day.

Too good to be true? Can anyone shed some light here?

I suspect ad copy and actual construction may be different, but that is just speculation. Wouldn't be the first time in this business. Without a factory visit to see them being put together, how would you know? If they can retail a sofa built like that for $ 698 then its truly a miracle.
