    Default Cigarette Smoke

I am currently awaiting a piece of H&M furniture and after coming home from work with my father-in-law in the house (a smoker) I couldn't help but worry what my fine new piece of furniture might smell like after he is in my house. I don't allow him to smoke in the house but the smell is awful when he comes back inside and I am wondering what is the best course of action is to prevent that smell from permeating when I sit in my recliner. Is a slipcover the best way to go or is there something else I can do to prevent the smell besides banning smokers from my house.

I know of nothing you can do to prevent that. A slipcover would be porous. Spray him down with some Lysol when he comes inside?? Probably wouldn't go over very well with him.....

A slipcover will make things worse. Open the windows whenever possible, otherwise burn a scented candle. The leather will air out on its own.
