We are redecorating our house. We've been buying furniture for about a year now. The last pieces left to buy are two accent/wing chairs to go in our bay window. We've been trolling the clearance sections of the furniture stores around and found some really great deals. But finding matching chairs with a pattern to go with our leather sofa is really hard. We've had our eye on a beautiful chair by Harden, but of course, it's custom, so it will never really be "on sale." If we buy them, not only will we not get a deal but there would be no reason to not wait. I want to get it done though, so I can choose a color to paint the room they would be going into.
The other option we have is to just buy cheap (i.e. Broyhill) with the idea that if it's a pattern that we get sick of, we can just get rid of it. I really just don't know what to do.
Are the chairs for decorating purposes, or will they be sat in, regularly?...
I think that answer will answer your question....
Cheap furniture is never a value move.
