As of the date of this post, this is H&M's highest grade leather, a fully nude hide that comes from a tannery in Belgium, produced from German Bulls that are fresh-transported from the slaughterhouse in refrigerated vans (unsalted). It's as fine and wonderful as leather can get -and its not for everyone. Why do I say that? First of all, its expensive at GR 5 price, and secondly its full of natural markings, flaws and production build 'bruises' and markings that will put off most leather buyers. This is a collector's leather's someone who has a passion for leather furniture and knows that those markings come with the very best hides in the world. I do not recommend it for the entry level or casual leather buyer, any more than I would suggest a casual wine drinker purchase a Cabernet from Ghost Horse Vineyards. But for those that know what it is - and have the budget to buy it - its absolutely delicious.
