Default H&M # 7106 Rugby Lounger in Weston Cane Burnished GR 3

    Wood: MESA
    Nail: "R"

This is a very popular recliner, mid-sized, and a lot of folks order it in exactly this combination. As shown its in the Town and Country promotion (2012/13) in this leather (subject to change when that program is revised this summer).

I've always been drawn to the Rugby series and the Weston Cane Burnished leather is such a great combo for this style. This lounger is seriously beautiful.

Duane, I really, really like this Rugby in Weston Cane Burnished. I got a quote on it but then read a post in which you stated that you had no support for your neck and head when the chair is in the upright position. I am shorter than you. I am 5'7". The stats say that the Rugby is 39" inches in height but it appears to be pitched back a bit. Makes me concerned that a short guy like me also might not have neck and head support when sitting in the upright position. I know that burnished leathers are said to be stiff but wonder if puddling occurs over time as the chair is used. Does anyone who has owned this beautiful lounger have any insights? Thanks.

Puddling happens on EVERY piece of leather furniture from every supplier - the only way to avoid it is to not use it. Its less on H&M because they use Steer Hide instead of Cowhide, but it will still occur. Extra Firm cores and extra full backs make it less, but it will still be there to some degree. A lot of people buy Rugby, but no single cushion back chair will be as comfortable (overall for most) as a double cushion bustle back.

If you are buying it for looks, that is one pretty chair in that leather. I am sure it is comfortable enough for sitting. If you are wanting it to be your main, spend hours lounging in front of the TV I would think 39 may be a little short. I am 6 feet and I find my Austin Wallhugger to be tall enough it the sitting position, and it is supposedly 40 inches. It would be nice if you could find a store that had one so you could sit in it yourself.

Thanks, sstarrx2. Yes, is not the best choice for my main sitting chair. I will probably end up being committed to an institution by my brother and sister before i make a choice.
