Just a couple of quick questions for Mr. Duane,
We are getting a new round of cushion cores for our 8 year old sofa and chair from the original purchasing store, jarrettesville furniture. i just found out through this site that you can get the cores for free which is nice, however they want about $200 in shipping for everything. Is it normal to charge shipping for this sort of thing?
Also, the zipper on one of the covers has "derailed" and it needs to be repaired. When I asked the service manager about it, he said he doesn't have an upholsterer on site, and that it would be cheaper/better to find one near me, since the repair should be easy. Does this seem like the right way to go? If so, can you recommend any particular upholsterers? I live in College Park. Thanks.
No, there is no shipping charge. H&M orders the cushion cores from the maker, and they are drop shipped to you. There is no charge whatsoever to the selling dealer on these.
Any upholstery shop can fix that zipper, pick somewhere close!

So is there something fishy going on here? Should I tell them I refuse to pay for shipping?
Any idea? Would you be able to order the cores for me if they won't budge?
Sorry, you need to get these from your selling dealer if they are still in business. I'm sure if you have them check into it, they will find out that H&M does not charge for shipping these. Good luck.
