H&M does a revision to its Town and Country program every year in June, usually the 2nd or 3rd week. They will add items, drop items, and change prices on some items. This year I will expect 20 to 25% of the items to change, and unless I miss my guess general price increases overall on the order of 5 % to 7 % (no, I don't have crystal ball - just experience!)

Leather prices are up because cattle feed prices increased in 2012, so many farmers cut back on their cattle stock as beef prices were depressed. Now we are seeing pressure and shortages on leather hides - hence my prediction for the increases. Also, diesel prices are hovering around $ 4 a gallon, and that's up over last year. EVERYTHING in the furniture industry comes on a truck, so when diesel is up over the prior year, we see increases.

If you're on the fence about a T&C piece, you may want to purchase at the current price points from the dealer of your choice. General prices increases will follow for the whole line usually 7 to 14 days later, in late June

Also keep in mind two other items. H&M closes 1st week of July for vacation, as do most other furniture makers, so nothing happens all that week. Secondly, Virginia Sales Tax for my store goes to 6 % effective July 1st (currently 5%).
