Default Hancock and Moore Lounger Problem

    Hi,
I have a new Hancock and Moore lounger and the footrest hits the carpet when I put it down. The store I bought it from told me to put coasters under the legs to raise it higher and while I suppose that would work, I can't help but wonder if the mechanism can be adjusted to fix the problem instead of unsightly coasters. I included a photo so you could see what I am talking about. Thanks in advance for your help.

It the carpet, it must be thick. Move the recliner to a hardwood or tile floor area and see how much swing room you have, it should clear by 1/2" or more. This is not an uncommon issue for room with deep pile carpet. There is no vertical adjustment to the mechanism within the frame, your selling dealer gave you the only viable option. However, I don't like "coasters" myself and would instead get a thick glide to nail into the chair legs themselves. Which model recliner is this?

I don't remember the name of it, sorry. I'll put those glides on my husband's honey do list.........he'll no doubt buy coasters though to save time.....it is thick carpet....not shag but frieze or whatever they call it. I'm sure the chair manufacturer had no idea thick pile carpet would make a come back. Thanks for the advice.......I hope my other post didn't step on any toes.......
