    Hi all,

I've just picked up the large wooden rocking chair seen in the album here from a moving neighbor.

The chair is heavy - about 90 lbs, tall - about 5'6", and made of what my research says may be walnut?
The label on its bottom says made by S K Products Corp. in compliance with articles dated from 1923-1948.

Any ideas on what I'm dealing with here in terms of a restoration and what it could be worth?

    Thanks for the help!

The business address has a ZIP code. Those started in 1963 if I recall correctly.

That's the very definition of gothic! I have no idea what that is worth, but I would not restore it as it looks in decent shape. A little Briwax and steel wool will clean up the legs.

Looks like S K no longer exists according to one site. Sitting in the chair makes it feel more like a rocking throne, really. Definite thanks for the tips.

Are there any specific antique furniture sites that you frequent worth bringing this to for more information?
