    Default 7131 Sundance Recliner

If anyone owns one can you share your opinion on how it sits. Is the back also tufted? Thanks.

The Sundance Recliner sits large. Very similar IMHO to the Sadler or Idaho loungers. It has a very tall back as well. Yes, its button-tufted on the back and sides. The lines on the chair are a little 'off' to my eye. Its not as graceful as the sofa and doesn't flow the design all that well.

Well that one comes off my list. Martini, Rodeo, Utah and Martial remain. I find the Ghent sits well for me but I don't like the style.
    Thanks.

The Rodeo Lounger....now THAT is a recliner. Utah is pretty decent, and I like the funky style of it, too.

I saw a picture of the Rodeo posted in the forum (Montana leather - discontinued I guess) it jumped off the screen.
Rodeo and Utah two different style but both are nice so it comes down to how it sits.

Well, if it were me - I'd buy the Rodeo, but I'm not super-tall (just a smidgen under 6'). The Utah is going to be better for 6' 3" and up guys. And the Rodeo looks cool - the way it trims out.

Today, I sat in the Sundance Recliner with Ultra Down seat/back. For my height 5'7", the seat height and depth were spot on but as you told me the chair is a bit too tall.
I was not impressed with the comfort, the seat was a bit thin and does not sit as well as the Miller even though the Miller is a good 2-3 inches too deep for me.
Are the Rodeo seat cushions as thick as the Miller's? The Rodeo's seat height is the same as the Sundance but the depth is an inch more.
Could it be configured with Ultra Down and extra full to decrease the depth?

This is really difficult to say for sure, I don't want to mislead you on this. Without having all these recliners side-by-side its hard to say for sure. You should really try to locate one to try out yourself, though it's not commonly floored at most stores (Rodeo). On the ones I have had come through the store, I find them delightful to sit in, one of the best from both comfort and style, for me - and what I like may not be what you like, so keep that in mind as well.

Ultra down will just make it softer. If you want to more resilience in the back go to 21 oz cores (extra firm) and ask it to be over-filled on the back. That will effectively give you 1" as the cushion won't 'crush in' as much. Both those are done at time of order at no charge.

Would the Rodeo Lounger tailor nicely in Equestrian or is it more suited for Capri/Quintessence?

I'd probably not cover it in Equestrian if it were mine. Nothing wrong with that leather, but its thick, bulky and I like a thinner, more tailored look on the hide for the Rodeo. Of course, it would be tremendous in one of the GR 4 leathers, without peer.
