Please help to choose leather for sofa/loveseat for family room. I like 2 leather ( B&Y)-

    1. Brigton Chocolade (9055-88)( this is thicker, richer, more silky on surface).
2.Elmotique Gunness (9085-89)(this is much softer , more matte on surface)

I am asking about durability of this leather, as this furniture is for family room, where will be used most of the time.

Those are both very nice anilines, with the 9085 being more 'naked' and softer. One is not going to be more durable than the other, and the 9085 may be slightly more susceptible to staining on acid or oily spills, but at the end of the day its all about you keeping the hides wiped down and then conditioned periodically. You can take the most top-coated leather in the line, and if you ignore the maintenance it will deteriorate quicker than a pure aniline that is properly maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to own either one of those covers myself (in fact, those are my preferred leathers and what I really would buy). You just have to wipe the dirt and oils off and do a 2x annual conditioning procedure to keep them up.
