Hancock & Moore recliner size

We bought a H&M recliner (Alexander ruffed recliner) for our study last year and like it very much. Wondering whether there is a small version of recliner which can be moved into one of our bedrooms which is used as my office. The door is a regular 6 panel door, a Little bit shy of 30 inches. There is a hallway outside too. The hallway is 40 inches wide. What I wish is to have is a chair That I can sit and lie back while reading documents comfortably instead of on a computer chair. Is there any such chair for bedroom (be moved into a regular door without too much effort?)

Most recliners can be finessed into a small room depending on how good the delivery crew is and if there is free space on either side of the door jamb. Often you can extend a recliner out on its mechanism and then 'english' it around the door to get it in. One has to be very careful when moving a recliner when its extended as they are prone to damaging the mechanism like that, so so and easy is the order of the day. Try to look at mid-size units, and stay away from the big recliners. You can do a test and take you existing Alexander Recliner to the bedroom and see if you can get it in....that way you will know what size will work and what won't. Often I will lay a recliner on its side, open it up, and put it on a furniture pad to scoot it through the doorway on the pad - that takes the stress off the mechanism when done like that.
