Looks like cherry, but to be honest a shot from eight feet away like that shows no construction detail cannot be assessed. It takes many photos of joinery and bottom side of the table (including several close-ups) to determine the build. Also, its better to say 'They want $$$ for the set' rather than ask what its worth. I can tell you its production furniture, not handmade, but I'd need many more details beyond that. Good luck.
