Default Bed Rails - signs of quality

A friend of mine is selling their older henredon (70s I believe) poster bed. They sent me a picture and the rails look sketchy to me. Is this a quality rail??? I have a henredon bed from the 70s and the rail has a lip on the bottom. That bed is solid as a rock. I just wanted to get some input if this is a good quality rail.

Yes, that is old-school proper bed frame construction with mortised joints. Done right.
