    Default Grandfather Clocks

My grandmother had a beautiful old grandfather clock that was shipped over from England. Unfortunately, when she passed all her belongings were auctioned off - long story. Anyway, I have always longed for a grandfather clock. If I were to start looking what brands would I look for. Not even sure if anybody here would know. But I have gotten some wonderful info from this forum, so I thought I could start here.

Brands?! No way....buy an antique one. English Antique clocks are plentiful and not that expensive. Look for an all-brass, 8-day winding movement.....they will put a modern clock to shame.
