Default Price changes for Hancock and Moore 01/28/16

Hancock and Moore will have an across the board price increase effective 01/28/16 on all items, of appx 3% (includes the Town and Country lineup).

They will also most likely have their 5% off sale (does not apply to Town and Country items) the month of February, though I will not know for sure until the letter arrives in the mail.

So - if you are shopping Town & Country items, get your order in before the coming Thursday and save a few dollars. If you are ordering main-line product then you may want to wait until next month, but there is a small chance that sale period will not come to pass. I cannot find out ahead of time, sorry.

Duane, you've told us about the new 2016 Hancock & Moore leathers and also about all of the discontinued frames..... do you know if they are adding any new frames in 2016? We are closing in on a decision and will likely order during the next sale period. We had been pretty set on Mesquite Saddle as our leather, but when we saw the new leathers, we are interested in the new Prairie leather. It is a grade 2 and the Mesquite Saddle is grade 3. (Our Prairie samples have not come yet.) As far as the frame, we've been leaning towards the Martini but I'm just wondering if there will be new styles coming soon. Hmmmmm

New frames are added in October and April of each year, at the High Point Market. Same time new leathers are introduced. The are posted on the WHATS NEW section at H&M's website.

You may not get the Prairie samples. When a new leather is introduced, here is the approximate timeline on them (typical).

    * Leather is introduced at October Market
    * New leathers are culled in early November, some do not make the cut based on dealer reaction and stock orders at Market
    * Leathers that will be added will be ordered in November
    * New Leather hides begin arriving January.
    * Production begins on dealer orders in these new hides in late January/early Feb.
    * Scrap is generated from the production of these pieces. Appx. 30% of every hide is salvage, or scrap. This is collected and sent out to be trimmed and made into sample swatches for dealers and retail consumers
    * New leather samples arrive at dealerships in mid-to-late February. Consumer sample orders can now be filled as well.

So, we are in mid-January and a little ahead of the swatches being made. Sample requests are not kept on backorder, so we may have to re-order in 30 days or so when they become mainstream.
