    Default Deck Stain Project

My current home project is staining my exterior decks, which are Pressure Treated wood with TREX floor and rail caps. The wood is quite weathered and I started on the small side unit with pre-clean wood brightener and then BEHR's Semi-Transparent Wood Stain. Its not real hard to do and the results are dramatic. You can see what the wood looked liked before to the left in the one photo, and what it now looks like. Doing the big deck off the side is going to be a much more time consuming project. Definitely recommended, a gallon of stain is around $ 44 at Home Depot, I did two coats on that side area with 1/4 can left over.

After re-staining my deck/landing for the 5th time, I just let it go... Then, replaced it all with AZEK decking. 100% PVC. Looks great, cleans easily, no mildew issues..

    And.... NO MAINTENANCE!!

    Highly recommend it!!

    Duane: That looks great!
