Hi, Duane.
Our leather covered H&M pieces arrived, last week. We also received our ordered Leather Solutions unprotected, aniline kit. Should I go ahead and do the entire three-step process? Or, if there is no need to do the Cleaning step, should I do the other two...or just one...or what, if anything?
And, this Capri Tobacco hide on our sofa is truly amazing. My husband says it feels like very fine glove leather, and I agree. So, I want to be certain I follow the correct cleaning/conditioning process! I know it's not fragile, but of all the H&M pieces I've ever owned, this hide is, by far, the most special. We are in awe every time we touch it. (Absolutely, adore the Hyde Park Tan hide on our other pieces. Has a terrific hand and gorgeous sheen.)

Oh yes, Capri is like nothing else you probably have owned.
I would use just the protectant on there now, no need for the cleaner or softener. It's water-based, so don't apply too heavy or you can get a water stain on the hide. I don't use the sponge in the kit, because it releases too much product, and those white rages are useless in the kit as they shed lint with the unseamed sides of the cloth. I grab some microfiber towels to apply. Start on the back to practice!
