I wanted to check my understanding of the functionality of the BACK RECLINE for 7004 Grant Three Way Lounger. I am experienced with H&M tilt back chairs which allow you to stop the back in at any point between upright and fully leaned back. After reading the description of loungers on the forum, it sounds like loungers have fixed points (or only 2 positions, up or reclined??) unless you get the power option and then the back recline is more similar to the "tilt back" functionality. Is this correct? (The Grant Lounger is the specific item I'm interested in.)
Also, if you have experience with how the batteries attach (where the cords connect in) for the power version, I'd appreciate that insight. On Duane's example of the Grant in Capri Butternut, the cord was showing but I'm assuming that was just because the chair was in shipping/delivery process. These chairs will be floating in the room so how they look from the back is important to me.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
There are detents in all manual recliners, those are the natural stopping points. In a manual recliner its fully closed, of fully open, or at the detent in the "TV Watching Position". You can "balance" the recliner in-between those spots but the chair will constantly be moving.
On a power unit, it stops and locks wherever you release the switch within the range of open and closed.
On battery units, it all tucks under the base and is not visible.
