Default Bradington Young # 4401 Recliner in Leather 9593-88

Has that popular 'Restoration Hardware' look. Good sitting piece, leather should age nicely over time.

Despite not being a H&M, I like this chair, Duane. What is the retail price as shown?

I miss this forum! Simply haven't had the time to keep up. Hope all is well with you!

    Duane,
I sat in a B/Y 4014 recliner yesterday. I liked it but not sure I loved it. The price was 1695.00. What do you think of this chair, what do you think of the price?
    Thanks, Rhonda

I have this one priced at $ 1,425 in a Grade IV leather (their highest grade, London Park).

What do I think of it? Ho boy.....well, and honest answer is the only one to give.....otherwise whats the point of a forum?

I'm not crazy about it. For one thing, I am ruined by Hancock and Moore. This one is no where near the build quality. I can feel the wood frame on the arms when I rest my hands there. The leather is not pulled tight enough. The seams are crooked. Its too small for a 6' 0" man and too snug. The tailoring is mediocre. This is what I would call a 'paper' recliner. It was designed on a sheet of paper and I don't think anyone test drove it to modify it.

Personally, I'd pay another $ 400 to $ 500 and buy an H&M, because I know how long these last and I have a critical eye from being in this business for so many years. Having said that, it fills a niche for those on a budget who want less expensive than Hancock and Moore but more than La-Z-Boy. Bradington Young occupies that middle ground. I would definitely not recommend this frame for anyone taller than 5' 10", however.

As to the $ 1,695 price - that's not a bad price in a grade 4, but not much of a bargain in a grade 2 leather.
