Hi. Thanks so much for all the info. I've bought a few great pieces over the past few months trying to fill out new home with furniture. I wish I had found this website before some previous purchases but oh well.
One thing I haven't seen is a review of prefab vanities. My wife and I are trying to decide on custom cabinets versus home depot cabinets versus prefab from restoration hardware or somewhere else. Any suggestions on a good place to start researching options. The cost of the renovations just keep going up and I need to cut costs somewhere and I'm worried about trying it with the cabinets.
Thanks.
I think it is pretty much like any other case good and you can look for the same things you look for on bookshelves, tables, display cabinets, etc. I think you just first need to decide if you want the 'built-in' look that like traditional cabinets give you, or do you want a more freestanding look that a prefab has. Restoration Hardware wood stuff is not bad quality but it is very overpriced.
