Default is Kincaid upholstery 8 way hand tied real or a drop in unit

I just learned about fake 8 way hand tying.
There is a drop in unit that doesn't have support on the bottom?
Is this a normal practice nowadays?

I'm interested in a Kincaid Sofa. Their website has videos of real 8 way hand tied but those videos could be years old.

Drop in spring grids are just a way of taking cost out of a build, better made upholstery will still have a traditional 8-way hand tied spring suspension.

There are always ways to do something cheaper, only one way to do it the best way.

Kincaid does offer 8-way hand tie, however that is not standard. Make sure that the furniture company that you are looking to purchase from has paid for the upgrade from standard. With Kincaid purchasing it cheaper often means that you have sacrificed quality.

Also, make sure to check on the cushions in the sofa. The lower quality cushions with be: comfort support, extra firm, plush comfort, and premium blend down. In order from standard to upgraded.

Their best cushions they offer include a pocketed coil spring and are the premium spring down and the luxury spring down. Anytime you can get a pocketed coil spring go that route.

    Good luck!
